Suggested Activities

This is a list of the activities that can in undertaken during your stay at Oxenwood. Some are more appropriate for schools or certain age ranges; others require qualified instructors or the group to be accompanied by the Head of Centre. lf you wish to undertake something not listed below, or require clarification of the suitability of any activity for your group, please telephone us, so that we can discuss this with you.

Please read through the list of activities and decide which is most suitable for your age group and relevant to any class work. An itinerary of your chosen activities will be arranged for you in agreement with the Head of Centre. Your stay will be very much a partnership between Oxenwood Staff and leaders / teachers with supporting parents/guardians, although there will be a need to agree who is responsible for leading each activity. Evening entertainment is normally the school/youth group's responsibility. It is essential that the itinerary of activities is agreed before the group arrives as some activities require the permission from land owners prior to the visit and a number of activities are subject to the availability of qualified instructors i.e. mountain biking.

For weekend / school holiday groups, or groups wishing to come to the Centre independently and organise their own activities, the Centre Staff will be happy to assist you with providing local Information and ideas for walking routes, local attractions etc. You may also be able to purchase sessions of mountain biking / survival kills, etc.
